Sabrina Guzman

Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A)
Supervised by Amanda Smith, LPC-S

Hi, I’m Sabrina (she/her). I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who works with kids, teens, and young adults navigating anxiety, life transitions, and neurodivergent experiences. I bring energy, empathy, and a healthy dose of humor into the room—and I’m not afraid to challenge you when it helps you grow.

Therapy with me is relaxed but focused. I’ll meet you where you are, whether you need space to vent, want help with tough decisions, or are working through patterns that keep coming back. I use a mix of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and EMDR—always adapted to what actually works for you.

My clients often describe me as warm, personable, and real. If you want a therapist who’s approachable and grounded (but won’t just nod and smile), we’ll probably work well together. I especially love working with clients who are exploring identity, managing ADHD or Autism, or adjusting to big life shifts—like college transitions, changing relationships, or figuring out what’s next.

Want to Know More About the Approaches I Use?

  • CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)
CBT helps you notice the connections between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. In session, this might look like identifying patterns that keep pulling you down—and practicing more compassionate, helpful ways of thinking. It’s especially useful when anxiety or perfectionism keep hijacking your day.

  • EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy)
EFT focuses on the emotional patterns that show up in your relationships. If you find yourself shutting down, snapping, or struggling to feel understood, we’ll slow things down and explore what’s really going on underneath. This work can help you feel more connected—to others and to yourself.

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
EMDR is a structured but gentle way to work through trauma or overwhelming memories. You don’t have to retell everything in detail. Instead, we use techniques like eye movements or tapping to help your brain and body process what’s been stuck. Many clients say it helps them feel calmer and more in control.
