Nick Dezso
Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A)
Supervised by Amanda Smith, LPC-S
Hi, I’m Nick (he/him). I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who brings warmth, curiosity, and structure to the therapy space. I believe the relationship between me and the client is central to the work that we do.
I rely heavily upon a person-centered approach, focusing on creating a warm, caring, safe environment for clients to share and discuss their truths and build rapport. I draw heavily upon CBT and solution focused techniques that help the client become the expert in their own lives by examining the specific values and goals and guiding the client towards the achievement of these goals.
After graduating with my master’s in counseling, I developed a passion for working with children, teenagers, and adults in areas such as autism, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and stress management. If you are interested in therapy with me, please feel free to reach out to us online or by giving us a call.

Want to Know More About the Approaches I Use?
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): A goal-oriented approach that helps you identify and shift unhelpful thinking patterns that contribute to distress.
Solution-Focused Therapy: Focuses on building solutions and small steps forward—especially helpful when you’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): A powerful relational model that helps couples and families move from conflict to connection.
EMDR: A research-supported approach that helps you process trauma without needing to retell every detail. It helps memories lose their emotional charge so they no longer drive your reactions.
