Nick Dezso
Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A)
Supervised by Amanda Smith, LPC-S
Hi, I’m Nick (he/him). I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who brings warmth, curiosity, and structure to the therapy space. My approach is grounded in the belief that clients are the experts on their own lives. I’m here to help you explore your goals, understand what’s getting in the way, and move forward—one meaningful step at a time.
I work well with teens, adults, couples, and families who are navigating overwhelm, anxiety, neurodivergence, or tough relationship dynamics. Many of my clients are looking for practical tools and a space to be deeply heard. In our work, we’ll use the strategies that make sense for you—no one-size-fits-all path, just thoughtful collaboration at your pace.
Therapy with me is compassionate and structured. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients create clarity and momentum. When needed, we might also use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) or EMDR to support deeper healing from stuck patterns or past pain.
I have a particular passion for working with people navigating ADHD, Autism, and sensory sensitivity. Whether you’re trying to make relationships work better, manage anxiety, or just understand your own wiring, I’ll meet you with empathy and curiosity—not judgment.

Want to Know More About the Approaches I Use?
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): A goal-oriented approach that helps you identify and shift unhelpful thinking patterns that contribute to distress.
Solution-Focused Therapy: Focuses on building solutions and small steps forward—especially helpful when you’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): A powerful relational model that helps couples and families move from conflict to connection.
EMDR: A research-supported approach that helps you process trauma without needing to retell every detail. It helps memories lose their emotional charge so they no longer drive your reactions.
